Gabriel was born and raised in Los Alamos, New Mexico. He studied art at the University of Arizona and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2011. After, he moved to New York City where he maintained a studio practice and interned with the sculptor Jordan Griska, as well as curating shows for the Brooklyn-based gallery Space 776. In 2016, he was chosen to participate in the AICAD Summer Studio Residency Program, co-directed by William Powhida and Alan Lupiani.

In 2017, Gabriel moved to Besançon, France. In 2020, he participated in a collaborative online project entitled The Ones We Can Still Save for Second Street Gallery in Charlottesville, Virginia. In 2023, he was accepted into the Institut Supérieur Des Beaux Arts in Besançon. He continues to live and work in France.
